Technology Changes – Challenges to Traditional Lettershops

Postal regulation changes reflect the US postal services dependence on new expensive automation processing equipment.  These changes force those of us in the direct mail preparation business to keep pace with these requirements.

Many direct mail firms will not or cannot keep up with the technology demands from both the client side and the processing side.  Engage has made very strong efforts to be experts in these regulatory change areas.  We’ve also been fascinated with the client side creative opportunities.

The new postal Intelligent Mail Barcode is definitely a “bump in the road” for mail services.  This new sophisticated delivery barcode also captures information for the mailer as well (e.g. delivery time, time in transit, change of address/bad address, etc). Engage invested in new processing equipment to be ready to roll for both the client and the postal service.

Digital print direct mail is another area which Engage Marketing has led.  Digital print direct mail affords clients faster turnaround, exact print quantities, high level of personalization, short run color marketing, and more.

Engage is prepared to help you with all the ins and outs of modern direct mail marketing.  We have great resources to find the lists that you need to all the production work to get your message printed and in the mail.
